the listing continues..
I know I said I wanted to come up with a list of "guilty pleasures" but seeing as today seems slightly overcast (or perhaps I'm holed up in my corner a little too long), I'd rather dwell on Rainy Day Music.
From experience, rainy days are bliss when curled up in bed with the airconditioning on and you're all snuggled up under the covers. Special someone snuggling right next you is optional. There's really nothing better than lying in bed, listening to your favorite music. So here's my idea of rainy day music:
Afterglow (album) - Sarah Mclachlan
Waking Hour (album) - Vienna Teng
The Friend I Once Had (album)- Club 8
Rainbow Connection - Peter Cincotti
Singing In The Rain - Jamie Cullum
The Luckiest - Ben Folds
Northern Sky - Nick Drake
Pretty much anything by Sigur Ros
Raindrop - The Reindeer Section
The Boy With The Arab Strap (album) - Belle & Sebastian (throw in I Don't Love Anyone for good measure)
Home Movies (album) - Everything But The Girl
Ella Fitzgerald singing Gershwin
The De-Lovely Soundtrack
Anything Elliott Smith-esque (Sufjan Stevens included)
Poses (album) - Rufus Wainwright
Bedtime With The Beatles (album) - Jason Falkner
Astrud. Astrud. Astrud.
I know my taste in music sometimes baffles people. I mean, I like everything from opera to alternative. I suppose that could be a little weird. Oh, well. I still feel like curling up in bed. Yawn..
